Change-Ringing on Handbells Volume 2 reviewed in The Ringing World

This week's Ringing World (number 5820) has a lovely review of Volume 2 by Tom Hinks. It begins:

"In this outstanding new volume of Change-Ringing on Handbells, Tina Stoecklin and Simon Gay have distilled their deep experience of learning and teaching handbell ringing into a clear, concise and cogent guide for the aspiring advanced handbell ringer."

and concludes at the end of the page with:

"The handbell wisdom accrued by the authors over many years of ringing shines through the whole volume and I wholeheartedly recommend the book to anyone looking to develop their handbell ringing."

Tom is a tip-top handbell ringer and conductor as well as an enthusiastic teacher of handbell ringing, so his comments mean a lot. I am pleased that he likes the chapter on conducting, commenting that "there is plenty here for tower bell conductors too" and praising the explanation of how to use coursing order.

We're following up the review with an advert in next week's Ringing World, and hoping that a few copies will find their way into Christmas stockings.
